sports car Hennessey Venom GT reached a speed of 435.31 km / h (270.49 miles per hour) at Kennedy Space Center , Florida, setting a new world speed record for a 2-seater sports car . It narrowly beats the old record held by Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 408.47 km/h (253.81 mph).
