Apple Confirms Using Google Cloud for iCloud Services

Apple updated a document on its websites last month to indicate that Apple is now using the Google Cloud for iCloud services. Earlier Apple had used remote data storage systems provided by Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. Apple’s edition of the iOS Security Guide in March 2017 still listed Microsoft Azure instead of Google Cloud Platform. Some media outlets reported on Google’s iCloud win in 2016, but Apple never provided confirmation. Data stored on Google may contain contacts, calendars, photos, videos, documents and more, but Apple obsessed with the idea that Google has no means of accessing that data. The most recent update doesn’t point out whether Apple is using any Google cloud services other than core storage of “objects” like photos and videos. It is also unclear when Apple launched storing data in Google’s cloud. Microsoft declined to comment. Apple didn’t reply to a request for comment.

Audi Launches the First Integrated-Toll Payment technology in US

The German prestigious brand announced on Wednesday that Audi launches the first integrated-toll payment technology in US on select vehicles this year. Normally, drivers should register with a state’s tolling agency and receive the proper transponder to use a fast lane. Or, drivers must actually stop the vehicle to pay a toll with cash. This new technology is called the Integrated Toll Module (ITM).

Airbus Vahana Taxi took off for the First Time

On January 31, 2018, Airbus’s Vahana taxi successfully took off their autonomous air taxi for the first time. The aircraft flew around 16 feet above the ground for a few seconds. The test flight lasted for less than a minute. Airbus’s A3 team has been working on the project for two years. The aim is to develop a flying commuter vehicle that goes four times faster than road traffic with arrange of about 50 miles.  It has eight propellers and a six-rotor design that allows the taxi to take off vertically, and then adjust its wings to move directionally. 

Nissan is going to Launch Its Own Self-Driving Taxi: Easy Ride

Nissan is going to launch its own self-driving taxi service Easy Ride after a several days. Nissan cooperates with the tech company of DeNa, and they are planning to launch its autonomous ride-sharing pilot program In Japan. Self-driving cars will choose members of the public around the city of Yokohama in March 5 to 18. Nissan self-driving cars will be able to operate a 2,8 mile route connecting Nissan’s global headquarters and the Yokohama World Porters shopping center, in the city’s Minatomirai district. Passengers are able to say the app via text or voice which activity they are going to do while in the area. The car’s built-in tablet will show them recommendations, involving interesting places and events.

Upcoming iPhone Models May Have the Same Design as iphone X

Apple will start three iPhones in 2018, and they may have the same design as last year’s iPhone X say multiple independent sources. The notch which cuts into the top side of the display to make room for Face ID camera components, the speaker, and the new selfie camera will be found on all new models this coming September. And of course, that means no new iPhones will have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
