Peugeot Urban Crossover Concept Unveils in Beijing

French automaker Peugeot took the opportunity to show its Urban Crossover Concept in Beijing. According to its maker,
the Peugeot Urban Crossover is a global vehicle designed for city environments. This means it will be developed in the same specification for sale in all markets, with a heavy focus on efficiency. The concept’s overall length of 163 inches and 68.5-inch width. Peugeot has not confirmed the Peugeot Urban Crossover concept’s engine line-up, but it is likely to get the existing brace of 1.6-litre turbocharged engines – a 156bhp petrol unit and the stop-start-equipped 112bhp turbo diesel. The Peugeot Urban Crossover should also be available with Peugeot’s Hybrid4 power train. This adds a 37bhp electric motor driving the rear axle, improving efficiency and allowing zero emissions motoring in town. Peugeot has not said the Urban Crossover will definitely evolve from the concept stage. But as it is based on the 208 hatchback, it seems likely that the car will make production. Expect the Urban Crossover Concept to start at around £13,000
