Oregon based Giddings is currently fundraising on Kickstarter to produce a wireless multi-touch glass keyboard and mouse pair. Made from quality tempered glass, a solid metal base, and powered by rechargeable Lithium Polymer batteries, these interesting looking peripherals for your computer are definite attention grabbers. Other than the fact that they’re made of see through material, they can function like regular touch-based devices, featuring multi-touch capability but lacking in the tactile feedback department. Should be noted that these devices run on open source software. This means that anybody who knows how to can customize the way they want their glass keyboard or mouse to work.
Users will be able to share the software online for input and to help other people into making their keyboards and mouse work better. The price of the mouse starts off at $150, while the keyboard will cost $250 and buying both at once will cost $350. The project has yet to reach half of its intended goal.
