Control Your Phone With a Magnetic Ring

Researchers of Nokia created a new phone controller magnetic ring called Nenya. It’s a magnetic ring. In appearance it’s similar to an ordinary ring, but in realy it’s a strong magnet. Moving the ring causes changes in the surround magnetic field, which are picked up by a bracelet worn by the user that connects to their phone via Bluetooth.Unlike with a mobile phone, Nenya is designed for subtle use,Nenya immediately  leaves both hands free when the user stops using it. Studies of Nokia’s researchers  have shown that  people could accurately position the ring in roughly 45 degree increments, suggesting that a  ring-controlled menu could contain up to eight options.

Along with all this, Nenya does have some limitations. The magnetic  tracking method requires users to wear the bracelet, the users have to  be careful not to damage objects sensitive to magnetism, such as  the  credit cards, and avoid getting the  ring stuck on metal objects during daily use.
