Now Google Home speakers are available in the UK which let Brits make hands-free voice calls. The announcement was declared at Google I/O 2017 and came in usage in the US last August. How can you start using the Google Home speakers? Just say “Ok Google” or “Hey Google” and then you can start. There is no need your Phone because the Google speaker is able to use Google contacts as an address book and make the call over Wi-Fi. Google Home speakers recognize up to six different users in the UK. It means that any of your family members can say “call mum” and get the right person. Google’s Assistant can also get the number for “millions” of businesses across Britain. But when the first time you get in touch in someone your Google Home speaker will show as an unknown or private number. Yes, it is a disappointing fact, but there is a solution: you can set up caller ID and your number appears for every further call.
To celebrate the International Mother’s Day in the UK, anyway Google is dropping the price of its coral-colored Home Mini speaker by £10 to £39 up to March 12th. Before, it was a Google Store exclusive, but now the pinky-orange Home Speaker is available in Currys PC World, John lewis, Argos, Maplin (while the company still exists, anyway) and a bunch of other stores too.
