LG announces that next upcoming LG V40 will have more than 5 cameras. As reported Android Police’s new flagship V40 will have three cameras on the back of the device. It will be the same as Huawei P20 Pro, which has 3 cameras on the back (first triple-camera System).
The LG V40 will also feature dual cameras on the front of the device (like the HTC U12 Plus), in what’s rumored be a stereo system to follow for 3D face mapping and unlocking.
While both the dual-front camera and triple-rear camera configurations aren’t new, the five-camera system would be the first time we’ve seen both on a single device.
And if the rumors are correct, this will become the first smartphone that has the most cameras. It is supposed that LG V40 will look similar to the G7 ThinQ. It will have a notched display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The Quad DAC that LG featured last year will return as well as a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side and fingerprint scanner on the back.
LG regarding the V40 sometime later this summer ahead of a fall launch. According to current sources, the V40 is planned for a release in either the late summer or early fall of this year. If accurate, this will see it launched during a similar window compared to the September 21 release of the V30.
According to the theverge.com “Like the V30 before it — which essentially resembled a larger G6 — the V40 is said to look similar to the G7 ThinQ. It will have a notched display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The Quad DAC that LG featured last year will return as well as a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side and fingerprint scanner on the back”.
