Two Headed Dolphin

Another Phenomenon From Life is Polycephalic Dolphin

Recently, a gym teacher in Turkey found the remains of polycephalic dolphin remains on a beach in Dikili, near the western Izmir. Turkish marine biologists are going to study the polycephalic dolphin, a phenomenon that is known from ancient times. It’s a condition of having more than one head. The oldest polycerphalic animal is 120 million years old lizard found in 2007. Polycephalic animals have their own brain but share the control of the organs and limbs. Often, their brains contradict each other and make their body movement disoriented or zig-zag without getting anywhere. Most of polycephalic animals have short lives in the wild. For example, most of the polycephalic snakes live for few months.  They may attack each other and even try to swallow. However, there are other examples also, when polycephalic snakes survived 8 or even 20 years. As per theory inbreeding of snakes increases the chance of two-headed birth.
