NASA’s Dawn spacecraft take its first image of Vesta, which is the second largest asteroid of Solar System. After in more than a billion miles space way NASA’s Dawn spacecraft’s team finally saw their goal, Vesta.The first image was taken on May 3, when the spacecraft began its approach and was about 1.21 million kilometers (752,000 miles) from Vesta. In the image Vesta looks like as a small bright spot among the rare stars.
According to researches Dawn will reach orbit around Vesta on July 16, when the asteroid will be about 188 million kilometers (117 million miles) from Earth.
