A $300 million Russian telecommunications satellite disappeared from the view of ground controllers and the U.S. space surveillance network along with the rocket upper stage that carried it into orbit, according to industry officials and the Russian space agency, Roscosmos. Rocket “Proton-M” with the upper stage “Briz-M” and spacecraft “Express AM-4B” was launched from Baikonur on August 18. During injection headunit into orbit occurred failures to the transfer of telemetry data and receiving a signal from the board of the satellite. Separation of the spacecraft from the “Breeze-M” to be held at 10.38 GMT on Thursday, but the information about condition and location of a satellite in this day hasn’t appeared.
Missing Russian satellite “Express-AM4” and deduced its into orbit upper stage “Briz-M” registered by employees of Command Aerospace Defense of United States (NORAD) in orbits with different parameters. The first object is detected NORAD in orbit with the parameters 996 on 20327 km with an inclination of 51.3 degrees. Presumably, this is the object is missing Russian satellite “Express-AM4”. The second object, presumably the upper stage “Briz-M”, recorded in an orbit with parameters, the height is 689 to 20251 km with an inclination of 51.2 degrees.
