Scientists have discovered an alien world, which is 3.2 times more massive than Earth circling Barnard’s Star. Barnard’s Star is a very-low-mass red dwarf. It…
Now scientists all over the world can be studied hundreds of millions of galaxies, stars and asteroids collected in the first bundle of data from NASA’s Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer WISE mission. Beginning in 2009, infrared telescope WISE take nearly 2.7 million images, with which scientists have found about 33,000 steroids between the planets Jupiter and Mars, and 20 comets.
According to NASA infrared telescope WISE could fixe also the 133near Earth objects (NEOs), such as comets and asteroids, which orbits that come within 28 million miles (about 45 million kilometers) from the orbit of our Earth.Data from the first 57 % will be accessible through an online public archive and complete survey, with improved data processing, will be made available in the spring of 2012.Astronomers will use WISE’s infrared data to hunt for hidden strange incident and to study trends in large populations of known objects.
