One of the favorite topics of our news is about moon landing. So, on this day (on September 20, 1970) the Soviet Union's Luna 16 moon probe landed on the moon.
Graduate of Space Laboratory at London University’s College Robert Grand found features of development of spiral galaxies like the Milky Way using the method of computer modeling. Аccording to accepted theory spiral galaxies, which have bright arms of stellar origin in the disk, they rotate aside twist spiral arms and consist of actively rotating young stars.Grand’s studies show that the stellar arms are not a regular feature of Spiral Galaxies, because young stars are able to the high speed migration process and the stellar arm might fall down as a result of gravitational shifts of the system. So studies show that the stars, which are located on the periphery, migrate to the Galactic center.
