Samsung has partnered with Fingi Inc., a Samsung Enterprise Alliance Program partner, to enable Holiday Inn London Stratford City to offer residents’ a full suite of hotel services, remote control of room settings and a special Samsung & Holiday Inn ‘Olympic Newsletter’ with the latest updates from London 2012 – all on the new GALAXY S III Smartphone. Holiday Inn, owned by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), is the Official Hotel Services Provider to the London 2012 Olympics.The joint solution combines the GALAXY S III with a fully customizable app to provide a complete connectivity and room control solution. The mobile solution provides a flexible, scalable and easy-to-install solution through a downloadable Holiday Inn for Android app.

BMW i8 Spyder Concept

BMW has unveiled its third concept, the i8 Spyder. Based on the i8 coupe that debuted last year alongside the i3 city car, the i8 Spyder is at once an obvious followup, but also appears to be a couple of steps closer to the production models that will eventually go on sale to the public. Like the coupe, the i8 Spyder is a plug-in through-the-road hybrid with a 96 kW (131 horsepower) electric motor up front powering the front axle and a mid-mounted turbocharged three-cylinder gas engine (presumably with a displacement of 1.5 liters like the coupe) producing 223 hp that powers the rear.

Nanoscale 3D Printed Race Car

Using a technique known as two-photon lithography, Austrian researchers have developed a high-precision 3D printer capable of producing nanometer sized objects in the shape of race cars, cathedrals, and bridges in a matter of minutes. The high-precision 3D printer at TU Vienna is purportedly orders of magnitude faster than similar devices, and opens up new areas of applications, such as in medicine.The super fast nano-printer uses a liquid resin, which is hardened at precisely the correct spots by a focused laser beam.

Ferrari Unveil Its Fastest Car

Ferrari has unveiled its F12berlinetta online, ahead of the car’s official unveiling Geneva Motor Show on March 6. The new V12, which will debut a new Rosso Berlinetta three-layer shade, is heralded as the most powerful and high-performance Ferrari road car, ever. Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre and Pininfarina, the coupe is powered by a 6.2 litre 65° V12 mill offering 740 cheval vapeur (CV), which translates to 730 hp, and a peak torque of 690 Nm at 8,700 rpm, 80% of which is available at just 2,500 rpm.

Tesla Unveils Model X Electric SUV

Electric car maker Tesla unveiled its third car, an all-electric SUV, minivan hybrid called the Model X, for the first time. First thing you’ll notice about the car will be its “falcon wing” rear doors. Instead of opening to the side like regular doors in the front, these “falcon wing” doors open upwards instead, resembling the wings of a bird when open. The doors even feature a double hinge so that they take up less horizontal space when opening, which makes it more practical especially in tight places.
