The team of expeditors led by Bezos found rusted pieces of two Apollo-era rocket engines from the depths of Atlantic ocean. As you know, the Apollo rocket helped the astronauts to fly to the Moon. The expeditors’ team raised the engine parts approximately three weeks, then carried the parts to the launch pad for the lunar missions in Florida. The Bezos team used the sonar equipment for finding the location of sunken engines, which are approximately 3 miles deep in the Atlantic ocean and 360 miles from Cape Canaveral. But there is some unclear fact. The serial numbers on the corroded pieces are missing or it is hard for expeditors to read the numbers. So, the Bezos team can’t know to which Apollo mission the engines belonged.

TGO and EDM for ExoMars Mission

For the determination the existing the life on Mars, the European Space Agency (EAS) and Russian federal agency signed a contract. This contract allows them to work together on the ExoMars program. The EAS agreed to provide the Trace Gas orbiter (TGO) and the Entry, Descent and Landing Demonstrator Module (EDM) in 2016, and the rover in 2018. The Russian part agreed to be responsible for both missions. Two partners will supply all the scientific instruments and will closely cooperate. By the TGO the researchers will search the presence of methane and other gases on the atmosphere of Mars. Also the TGO will collect information for the 2018 mission. The EDM will lend on Mars in 2016 and will support the key technologies for the mission of rover in 2018.

Also, the scientists find such components as carbon, sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus. These elements are basic elements for life in the Earth During the examination of the chemical components of the minerals from the Mars, the scientists discovered oxidized and reduced forms of sulfur compounds. That fact proves, that there was an energy gradient in the Ancient Mars. During next months and years, the rover Curiosity will continue to look for suitable areas and materials in the other parts of the Martian surface, because the scientists have a mission to find life in the Ancient Mars.

The Dragon Capsule Will Have the Rendezvous With the Space Station

The Dragon Capsule is preparing to do the first operation, from dozen missions for Nasa. The time of launch is 8:35 p.m. on Oct. 7 from Florida Station. The spacecraft will join with International Space Station after three days. The flight, named CRS -1, will begin and do the same rendezvous with the station, as the previous craft. The Dragon capsule will go to space, on 9 rocket and 9 kerosene- and oxygen-powered engines. When the Dragon capsule is in orbit, after eleven minutes, a controllers will begin the testing of rendezvous’ sensors from the Earth. The SpaceX craft will spend about three weeks, then the craft will return to the Earth. The difference of this mission from the previous, is that the Dragon capsule will be filled by the cargo for an operational mission. In the capsule will be the freezer for the station’s samples, and the locker, which will be filled by variety materials, for those astronomers, who lives and works in the station.

View of Saturn From Cassini Spacecraft

NASA’s Cassini spacecraft has delivered view of Saturn, taken while the spacecraft was in Saturn’s shadow. The cameras were turned toward Saturn and the sun so that the planet and rings are backlit. This special, very-high-phase viewing geometry lets scientists study ring and atmosphere phenomena not easily seen at a lower phase. Since images like this can only be taken while the sun is behind the planet, this beautiful view is all the more precious for its rarity. The last time Cassini captured a view like this was in Sept. 2006, when it captured a mosaic processed to look like natural color.

Unusual Galaxy Photographed from Gemini Observatory

Astronomers from Observatory “Gemini” received the most detailed to date image of the unusual galaxy NGC 660, relating to a rare class of polar galaxies. The galaxy NGC 660 is located at a distance of 40 million light years from Earth near the constellation Pisces. It is as if two separate star clusters: the spiral and lenticular. Such galaxies are called polar – they rotate the outer ring over the poles of the internal cluster. In addition, NGC 660 is the only other known polar galaxies in which the center has an old lenticular congestion. All polar galaxies are a result of the interaction of two separate star clusters. Some of them can be formed by the collision of two galaxies formed (for example, a galaxy can be formed by a merger in the future, with the Milky Way Andromeda).

New Landing Target for Mars Rover Curiosity

NASA has narrowed the target for its most advanced Mars rover, Curiosity, which will land on the Red Planet in August. The car-sized rover will arrive closer to its ultimate destination for science operations, but also closer to the foot of a mountain slope that poses a landing hazard. It was possible to adjust landing plans because of increased confidence in precision landing technology aboard the Mars Science Laboratory spacecraft, which is carrying the Curiosity rover.

China To Launch Its Manned Spacecraft in June

According to state media reports and the country’s human spaceflight agency China will launch its manned mission to an orbiting space laboratory in mid-June. A Long March 2F rocket will launch three astronauts aboard a Shenzhou 9 capsule for China’s first manned space docking at the mini-space station Tiangong-1. The space lab module has been circling Earth unmanned since its launch last year. China’s Shenzhou 9 mission will mark the fourth human spaceflight for the country, which has been making steady advances since the launch of Chinese astronaut Yang Liwei in 2003 on Shenzhou 5, the country’s first human spaceflight.
