The mysterious flashes of radio waves arising for billion light years from us from depths of the Universe, throughout long time were nonplused scientists. The international research group excludes possibility of existence of terrestrial sources for four splashes in radio waves. Astronomers claim that brightness of splashes speaks about their origin from cosmological distances when the Universe was twice more younger, than now (about 6-9 billion light years). Being accompanied explosion, they shows that come from large-scale astrophysical events with participation of relativistic objects, such as neutron stars or black holes. The leading author of research Dan Thornton from the Manchester University and the Australian scientific organization CSIRO noted that it can be any space cataclysms and the extreme events. These events can be connected with big weight or energy of objects participating in them as a source of radio splashes, for example merge or death of stars, eating of stars by black holes.

The Astronomers Found Titanium Oxides at Radio Wavelengths in the Canis Majoris VY

At the radio wavelengths the astronomers from the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy discovered two titanium oxides (TiO and TiO2). The discovery was done in the environment of giant star Canis Majoris VY. The Canis Majoris VY is not an ordinary star, but its sizes are more from the Sun for two thousand times. The astronomers observed different radio wavelengths and the observations provide different pieces of information regarding the characteristics of atomic and molecular gas, from which the astronomical objects are forming. The team of astronomers observed titanium oxides at the radio wavelengths for the first time, because the titanium oxides in the space have been noticed for the first time. TiO and TiO2 observations showed that the two molecules are formed around the Canis Majoris VY at a location, which predicated in the theory. But some part of molecules avoid from dust forming and observable such as gas phase species. Also, there is another possible fact in which the dust is releases new TiO molecules back to the gas.
New discovery at radio wavelengths is important, which will allow the astronomers to study the process of dust formations.
