At the CTIA 2013 exhibition Yota Devices presented a wireless router of Ruby. Feature of the device is the E-Ink display. Such display is usually used in electronic “eReaders”. On the black-and-white screen, which is in the lower part of Ruby, are displayed the accumulator charge, force of a signal and number of the devices connected to a router. The advantage of displays on e ink display is profitability: they spend the electric power only at the time of picture updating. The wireless router is equipped with the accumulator with a capacity of 2100 milliampere-hours. The battery is charged to seventy percent for an hour. Ruby promises to become one of the most “long-playing” routers of Yota: it can work till twelve o’clock if on the connected devices playing videos, till twenty four o’clock if web surfing, and till sixty o’clock in a waiting mode.

5G tested by Samsung

Superfast wireless network 5G tested by Samsung

Samsung carried out tests of technology of wireless data transmission of the fifth generation. According to the company, thanks to 5G it managed to transfer data with speed more than a gigabyte a second on distance of two kilometers. Whether, there is a speech about the settled or peak speed of data transmission on a wireless network, isn’t specified. 64 antennas were involved in test for transfer and signal reception. As expected, the new technology will be available to commercial use not earlier than 2020. Thus completely modified network 5G will support exchange of information at speeds, in hundreds times of 4G-networks exceeding opportunity. 4G supports data transmission with a speed up to hundred megabits a second for mobile subscribers and to gigabit per second for stationary.

On March 26 the Logitech announced the keyboards designed for iPads and iPads Mini of Apple. The new devices represent protective covers with built-in keyboard. The data exchange with a tablet is carried out with wireless communication of Bluetooth.
There are magnetic fastenings built in the case of a cover keyboard for more safety. The design of the Logitech wireless Keyboard allows the user of iPad or iPad Mini conveniently for video or typing viewing.
Accessories of the Logitech Keyboard Folio series have instant function of inclusion/switching off of a tablet: it automatically leaves a sleep mode by opening and passes to an energy saving mode when the screen is closed by a cover.
Also there are additional action buttons for copy and paste.
